Fortis Law Corporation is AEPA’s Legal Adviser. Led by Mr Patrick Tan TEP, and supported by his colleagues Eunice Chua and Andrew Wong, Fortis Law assisted with the setting up of AEPA and provides support on legal matters that concerns the association.

Patrick Tan TEP is the Founder and CEO of Fortis Law Corporation. His areas of practice include private client, wealth management, succession planning, real estate, and family law matters. He is a Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, Accredited Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, as well as a registered Foreign Lawyer in China.

In 2017, Patrick was awarded the Skillsfuture Study Award (Legal Sector) and successfully completed the SAL-INSEAD Law Firm Leadership Programme conducted by INSEAD.

Patrick is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP). TEP is the highest level of membership with STEP and represents the most senior practitioners in the Trust and Estate Planning Industry.

STEP is the prestigious global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. As a TEP, Patrick is internationally recognised as an expert in his field, with proven qualifications and experience.

In 2021/22, Patrick has been shortlisted as one of the five finalists for the STEP Private Client Awards in the category “People’s Choice – Trusted Advisor of the Year”. These awards are widely recognised as the most prestigious in the industry and are rigorously judged by a worldwide panel of experts.

Patrick is also the Legal Adviser to the Singapore Estate Agents Association and the Spa and Wellness Association Singapore.
