The Executive Council (EXCO) provides strategic direction to advance and support the mission of AEPA, the estate planning fraternity and the community at large. EXCO members are elected by the eligible voting members of AEPA. The current EXCO’s term is 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023.

Angelina Hing has extensive experience in the legal field. In the early years of her career, Angelina was an established litigator, handling high-value corporate disputes. She is also an Attorney and Counsellor at Law, in the courts of the State of New York. She is an accredited Principle Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and sits on the Family Panel of the SMC. She is also appointed Adjudicator at the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre Limited (FIDREC)
Ms ANG Kim Lan graduated with an LLB (Hons) Degree from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Maryville University of St Louis. She is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore as well as a Solicitor in England and Wales. She is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) as well as a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.
Kim Lan’s areas of practice include advising banks and the Central Provident Fund Board (CPF) as one of their panel lawyers, purchasers and vendors in residential, commercial and industrial property transactions, general solicitor’s work and litigation matters.
She oversees the Insurance and Financial Services Department, advising clients both locally and globally. These clients include life insurers, general insurers and insurance intermediaries and financial advisers. She also oversees the Trusts Department, advising clients on how to use trusts effectively as well as advising trust companies on compliance issues.
Kim Lan is experienced in regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial services sector, advising insurers on the setting up of branches and subsidiaries in Singapore, applications for insurance licences, the legal and compliance aspects of operational matters, schemes of transfers and on the structuring and marketing of insurance products. In the course of work, she liaises often with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Kim Lan has drafted and/ or reviewed the terms and conditions of numerous life insurance products such as life policies, term policies, hybrid policies, investment-linked policies (ILPs) with open-ended funds, ILPs with close-ended funds and portfolio bonds, as well as health insurance products, including several Shield plans currently in the market. In addition to the insurance products, she also drafts and/or reviews related product summaries as well as the marketing materials. She also advises clients in representations to regulatory authorities including proposals for changes to the law and practices in the insurance and financial industry.

David CHEE is a Partner of Wong Partnership in the Private Wealth and Middle East Practices.
His main practice area is private wealth, which includes wealth & succession planning, trust advisory and charity & philanthropy. He has also worked in trust companies and private banks. His experience includes advising on international tax and trust structures, insurance solutions and asset management.
In the area of trusts, David advises trustees on various matters related to trust business, such as regulatory requirements, fiduciary risk & obligations and the administration of trusts and estates. David also advises on the use of trusts in other areas such as debt restructuring, employee benefit programs, environmental restoration and rehabilitation projects and charity & philanthropy.

Prior to his academic career, Associate Professor Jimmy Wong worked for various corporations across different industries including FMCG, electronics, and pharmaceutical. His expertise in sales and marketing management was developed during his employment at multinational companies such as Johnson & Johnson. After graduating with a PhD in Consumer Psychology from the University of Illinois, he lectured in different universities across the USA, Australia, and Singapore. His research was published in various business journals including the Journal of Services Research and the European Journal of Marketing. Now, he is a marketing faculty in the School of Business at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and he continues to participate in part-time consulting projects with local enterprises and adopts an industry-led approach in his classes.

In 1987, Stephen Chew completed his ACCA at the age of 21.
