Seow Ling has been an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court since July 2013. She is an Associate Director with Eden Law Corporation, a firm founded in 2014 with a social mission of providing affordable justice for all.
Seow Ling is especially interested in formulating sustainable estate planning solutions for singles, families with special needs members, and elderly individuals. To better support these groups, Seow Ling was appointed in the first batch of professionals registered under the Professional Deputy and Donee scheme in 2018. She is passionate about representing the interests of individuals who do not have family members to rely on to be their proxy decision makers, and working with families that require professional assistance to handle the assets of their loved ones.
Familiar with the intricacies and sensitivity of family disputes, Seow Ling has handled cases involving contested estate, mental capacity, divorce and child custody matters. She is an accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and strongly believes that better outcomes can be achieved through mediation, by facilitating communication during negotiations and exploring the interests of parties to reach amicable resolutions that are workable and sustainable.
Fluent in Mandarin, Seow Ling has been invited by various organisations, including SPED schools, Ministry of Manpower, Central Provident Fund Board and the Special Needs Trust Company Limited, to share her knowledge and experience on estate planning in the language.
